Who we are

We are a dynamic HR Consultancy based in the Toll Bar House Business Centre in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. We provide HR and Payroll support to SMEs covering multiple industries. We are seeking a motivated, detail-orientated and experienced Administrator to join our growing team.

We have a range of retained and pay as you go clients across a variety of industries, and we take pride in helping them deliver lasting impact through their people.

What you’ll do

As a valued member of the Hello People Solutions team, you will be delivering first class HR and Payroll administration support for a range of clients.  The role is generalist and looks after the entire employee lifecycle for multiple retained clients, from onboarding, benefits, payroll to offboarding. If you are a strong administrator, have a passion for people and excellence, as well as the drive to progress, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across all areas of HR and payroll including onboarding, training and employee records.

  • Meeting and greeting all visitors, ensuring a professional service is always given.

  • Supporting clients with maintaining and implementing HR systems.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR documentation and databases.

  • Administration of company benefits, including pension, health benefits and discretionary benefits as part of the service for our clients.

  • Administration of absence including sickness, maternity and other family friendly leave, closely monitoring the HR system and providing advice as and when.

  • Assist in drafting letters and supporting the onboarding process.

  • Assisting with adhoc HR project work as instructed by the HR team.

  • Assisting the team with employee relations cases, including preparing documentation, scheduling meetings and note taking.

  • Supporting the payroll team with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of monthly payrolls.

  • Provide cover for the Payroll Team during holidays in order to input and process monthly payrolls.

  • Working with the Business co-ordinator to identify opportunities to improve processes, suggesting efficiencies or automation where appropriate.

  • Conducting internal audits, ensuring essential documentation is up to date and accessible.

What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, professional and able to build relationships easily (either over the phone or face to face). Ideally, you should have:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role (HR experience not required).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Great sense of humour, empathy, creative yet pragmatic.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • You must be able to work with minimal supervision and manage your own workload but above all you will need to be 'a doer'.

What's in it for you...

Our approach is simple - we love what we do, and we do what we love, providing first class solutions. Putting our people and clients at the centre of our why. That’s why we offer things like:

  • Bonus structure

  • Open holidays – yes, you read that correctly! As many holiday requests as you like (we will explain)

  • No dress code - “dress for your day”

  • Onsite parking

  • Lots of costa coffee 😊

  • Flexibility when you need it

Do you fit?

Our values are at the heart of what we do at Hello People Solutions, and it is important we recruit like-minded individuals into our team.

Keeping it Simple

  • No jargon, keeping it simple.

Make something better, today

  • We are passionate, we love tough problems and new challenges, when faced with a hurdle, we jump.

Play for each other

  • We are a team. That means we show up for each other, and act with empathy and integrity.
